Drama as Husband Beats Up Man Caught R*ping His Wife in Ogun State

 

A horny man who couldn't restrain himself has been caught red-handed while r*ping another man's wife. 

A husband went berserk after catching a man forcefully having s*x with his wife in Ogun State.

 

The man identified as 60-year-old Bankole Lawal has now been arraigned before an Ifo Magistrate Court, Ogun State. He is said to have allegedly r*ped a 24-year-old woman, Temitope, in the Ifo area of the state.

 

It was gathered that Lawal who is a trailer driver had approached Temitope at her home and gave her N200 for food when her husband was not around. He was alleged to have returned shortly after and r*ped her.

 

His luck ran out after the woman's husband, Abdullahi Muhammed, caught the defendant in the act, which led to a fight before the intervention of residents.

 

The matter was later referred to the police, leading to the arrest of the suspect. He was arraigned in court on two counts of unlawful sex and action likely to cause breach of the peace, Punch reports.

 

The charges read in part, “That you, Bankole Lawal,  on October 11, 2016, at about 8.30am, at Truck Yard, Iya Ibadan area, Ifo, in the Ifo Magisterial District, did unlawfully have carnal knowledge of one Temitope, wife of one Abdullahi, in order to offend him, knowing that the woman is married, thereby committing an offence.”

 

The police prosecutor, Lyda Omotara, said the offences were punishable under sections 231 (2) and 249 (d) of the Criminal Code (Revised Law)of Ogun State, Nigeria, 2006.

 

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and elected summary trial. The magistrate admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, adding that the sureties must be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment for one year.

 

The case was adjourned till November 23, 2016.
